I had too much cheese. Usually, I would call anybody who mentioned anything to do with thata heretic, but this time, it was serious. I had had a wine and cheese party, and, therefore, had ordered lots of cheese, (and wine). The only problem was that : I was the only one at this wine and cheese party. I had managed to finish off most of the wine, but after I'd eaten ten pounds of cheese, I started to throw up, all over the remaining cheese. I'd left it in the corner of my living room, but now it was starting to smell...bad.

I was thinking about getting a house extension a few years back and started looking into the requirements needed, like planning permission etc. It was the kitchen I wanted to extend, and refurb, so I called the skip hire out so I could gut the kitchen, so the builders could start the extension straight away. We had decided to demolish the outhouse which had been sitting behind our house since it had first been built over fifty years ago. It was only a brick building but it had got dilapidated over the years and we had plans to re-use the space for a patio and barbeque area. We hoped that we would be able to re-use most of the bricks, probably in building the barbeque, but there was definitely going to be a lot of mortar and rubble and there was other rubbish inside the building which was mostly going to have to be disposed of so we were interested in finding a skip to hire, so that we could get rid of all the unwanted debris as quickly and painlessly as possible. We knew one of our neighbours across the road had got a skip to hire only a few months previously, so I nipped over the road to find out where he had got it from. It turned out that he obtained a skip to hire from a builder’s place just round the corner. This surprised me, because the builder’s place just round the corner was only a small office and not a builder’s yard but, apparently, they were able to arrange hiring of most plant equipment and other stuff from that small office, even though it was just an administration office. This was lucky to find out, because while I was there I was also able to enquire about extra materials which I knew we would require for relaying the patio area and incorporating the brick built barbeque. I was also interested in waste recycling and whether any of the other rubbish which we would have to dispose of could be handled better. We found that a skip to hire needs to be booked at least a week in advance and possibly more. It is, of course, not just a matter of delivery but also of collection, unless you don’t mind a full skip standing outside your house for months afterwards. We reckoned that it would only take a few days to demolish the brick outhouse, so we were happy to arrange to have the skip for a week, after which the truck came along again to pick it up. There was, actually, a considerable amount of rubbish once the outhouse had been broken down. In fact, far more than we expected and, although the skip was large and we initially doubted whether we would ever fill it up, we found no trouble in filling it almost right to the top. This was helped, however, by some of the neighbours who, realising that we had this enormous skip to fill, found some large rubbish of their own to throw in. I didn’t really mind this because, as long as we could clear our stuff, I couldn’t see why someone else should not also make use of it.

Since long I was thinking of our flat refurbishment, but my husband refuses for the same. He says that our house is in quite a good condition and doesn’t need any refurbishment. I agree to what he says. This house was renovated a year back, i.e. a month before our marriage. Most people renovate their homes for many reasons. One reason is that the remodelling is made in order to make minor to major repairs on the home. I have had my house remodelled quite a few times in order to convert part of the downstairs area for a room for my mother who has cancer. Skip bins hire is probably a service i could do with. When I met my husband 6 years ago, he was as messy as me. O.k, maybe i was a little worse. Our poor weeklycleaning lady begged us numerous times to stay in our extension building so that she can handle the workload better by doing a little bit every day. Waste collection in our house was a job on it's own. See, we love convenience food andhave it almost every night. My children and I lived in a two bedroom house. My son Leon has got spina bifida and hydrocephalus. We had an occupational therapist round to see our home. She said that we would need a downstairs bedroom and bathroom for Leon. Unfortunately our house wasn't suitable for extending. Our family is a member of Red Cross. Most of my relatives are volunteer also in Red Cross units. I wanted to become one of the volunteer too that is why I had talked with my aunts and told her that I wanted to join them wherever they would go visiting and helping others in need. Everytime I am in bed I always read something before going to sleep either old magazines, letter or old books just to make me sleepy. I have this old journal of mine that was written five years ago, that time when I was still in my high school years. Five years ago we had moved here in our new place. My mother and father got separated with each other so I have no choice I have to go with my father but I still sometimes visit my mother.
