Norman was a driving instructor, but he wasn't a particularly good one

Norman was a driving instructor, but he wasn't a particularly good one by any stretch of the imagination. To date, none of his students had passed their driving tests thanks to his teaching. This may have had something to do with the fact that Norman himself had never actually passed his own test, and had appointed himself a driving instructor because he was bored and wanted something to do with all the free time he had.
He owned a moped, which technically was not his because he had stolen it from the person who owned it previously. That person was his own future self, which unfortunately made the whole thing unnecessarily complicated as far as the space time continuum was concerned. That sort of thing can cause spatial anomalies and quantum singularities, which as anyone knows are the sort of thing that should be avoided at all costs.
He had thought time and time again about seeing if any of hisfriends had a skip to hire out, which he could then attach wheels and a motor to and use it as a vehicle to transport him from one place to another, but the only trouble was he did not have very many friends. None at all, in fact. He was not the most popular person in the world, and ever since that time when he'd gone berserk and killed 78 people in a fit of jealous rage most people tended to leave him alone.
But as a driving instructor, he could not be faulted. All except for that minor detail of him only having a moped and no driver's license of which to speak of which his friends (of which as we have previously established he had none). His moped was however in dire need of servicing; it required a new motor, for one thing, but Norman was not sure where he could possibly obtain one from. So, he did what he had done before and stole the motor from someone else's moped, not realising that it would probably just save a lot of time and bother if he just stole the whole thing right then.
