DIY Heavan

I got my very first job out of college at a place called skip hire uk, it was a good job I wasn't sure it was really a job for women but the office where I was working had designed especially for women it was not the male environment that I had thought it would be.

The only problem with my new job was that it wasn't in the town centre and since I didn't drive well I was learning but was no where near ready to take my practical test there was still about another 15 lessons to go before I would feel comfortable enough to do that.

My dad surprised me the one day I was sitting in the conservatory and dad walked past the window pushing a moped, I couldn't believe my eyes this moped wasn't one of those ones with the shopping box for women it was a totally sported up moped with a great design on the side and a black helmet the only thing I didn't like was the big yellow jacket he wanted me to wear since it was winter he said I needed something bright to be seen, well I agreed with him in that respect but there was no way I was wearing it when I was going to town or to see my mates.

He handed me the keys and also a piece of paper with the moped practical test in big letters on the top of it, it was at the weekend which gave me 5 full days to go and practice we had a huge garden about an acre so to begin with I started riding the moped round the garden then I got abit more adventurous and started riding it on the tarmac surrounding the house and eventually the night before my practical test my dad let me go to the Chinese on it even though I wasn't road legal until I had passed my test the following day.

I arrived at the test centre a bag of nerves but bright and early, I got on very well with the examiner and he took me under his wing as I was the only girl there. I passed my test with flying colours and haven't looked back since although I still haven't taken my driving test yet oh well!
