My grandfather owns a classic car. It's a 1972 Volkswagen that still runs until now. He plans to convert it into a mini skip hire to be able to join a motor trade exhibit. But until now he doesn't have the budget to finance the upgrading of the car's machine and body. The motor trade exhibit is still six months away so I am pretty sure he will find money for the car's renovation and would be able to participate in the motor trade exhibit.
I really love my grandfather's classic car. It reminds me of 19th century era where everybody and everything looks royal and classy. I really love that era the fashion, buildings, architecture, arts and literature.
My grandfather's brother also owns a classic car. It's a 1962 Black Mercedes. It doesn't run anymore and is park at the farthest corner of their garage. My grandfather told me that this brother of his is really fond of cars. Everyday he repeats the same lists of instruction on how his driver would clean his cars. The driver should strictly follow these instruction or else, he will be getting a great dose of nagging from my grandpa's father. The most important instruction that the driver should follow is to always clean the back hood of the car. Grandpa's brother is a very strict man. I am not quite surprised because he served the Army all his life.
Though Grandpa's brother is very strict, he is very accommodating. I often visit his house whenever I need car parts or being troubled by a certain car machinery problem. He enjoys talking to me as long as the topic is about cars, World War II and politics. I am also fond of cars so most of our afternoon conversations are about cars. I guess I am that much into cars just like him. At present he has 8 cars in his garage. Each are well maintained and are all in good running condition, except the Black Mercedes. We usually talk about cars while sitting near his Black Mercedes drinking coffee. I guess the love for cars will always remain in our family.
