I bought a house at a bargain price but it needed much work to make it into a lovely home. First of all I wanted to hire a skip so that I could do some waste disposal. The garden was a complete mess and I needed to clear it of rubbish. Two hundred pounds of mortar were delivered so that I could make the drive suitable for a waste lorry. The waste lorry took the house hold unwanted furniture that had belonged to an old lady. I found it difficult to hire a skip because I had run out of money. I needed to wait until my pay cheque went into the bank on 1st August. So I hadn't been able to hire a skip until then. It had cost over one hundred pounds to hire a skip that was big enough to get rid of all the garden rubble.

My Dad is a carpenter. He got a job recently at a house near us. The property was having one of those fancy house extensions. It was one of the ones that middle-class people get to make them look upper-class. They build onto their house in a really modern way, trying to look really posh and up-to-date. This house however didn't end up with the desired effect. The houseended up looking more like an abandoned gypsy site, even after theskip bins hirecompany had been. I'll start from the beginning. The lady that owned the house told the builders to do the extension.

As a child i loved being around my father and watching him work. He worked in house extensions and people would ring him up if they had a project for him to see if he could do or not. I loved the fact that he would let me go on the jobs with him and i would just skateboard around the street or sit in his van playing video games. My dads refurbishment projects i found amazing as it never looked good at all when he first started but would end up looking like a dream. He did all sorts of extensions whether it was just adding a downstairs toilet to somebodies house or building a couple new floors, he always knew what he was doing and it always looked amazing as he put his everything in to every job.

Trying to find a skip for hire is a relatively easy thing to do, just look as far as the local want ads and you should find any number of individuals ready to assist you. On the other hand if you are looking for a very reputable and reliable one, that is another story all together. We were trying to get all of our ducks in a row in order to get a couple of new projects off the ground. One not so small and another one on our private property had to be planned for very carefully. The waste disposal services calls for the major extension building project was not a problem. I called and had all the arrangements made fairly quickly. The plans had already been approved by the building authority from the city and all the permits were ready and waiting for us to begin. The skip for hire for the extension building was going to be a long schedule and how long we were going to need the service was not at this time known. We finally settled with a company for a monthly fee for drop offs and pickup three times a week in the beginning, this schedule could be changed as long as a weeks’ notice was given beforehand. Any extra hauls would be re-negotiated.

I was doing a college course as a carpenter, I love making things out of wood, metal and I've even done a painting and decorating course. I suppose I have a gift for creativity. I enjoy putting things together and even fixing things. I've always been into waste recycling and tend not to mix up my glass bottles and paper, I like to do my bit for the environment it keeps my conscience clear at least, I suppose every little helps.

For over a year now, our home as been under renovation. After finally paying off our mortgage and having enough home equity to invest in our dream house, we decided to make all necessary changes before our son, Elijah Smith was born. We ultimately did a good job with our finances and I was able to save the family money even more by doing my own work without having to hire a carpenter.

I was standing in line at grocery store the other day when this largely overweight man approached me from behind and tapped me on the shoulder. Before I had a chance to say a word he was already trying to sell me on being a handy man and offering his service for any construction needs that I may be performing during the month of June. This was quite unusual to be approached in a grocery store about someone looking to do some freelancing work. I told this elderly obese man that I was a carpenter and I was currently working on building a small wooden shed in my back garden. He quickly extended his hand and introduced himself as Skip Duncan, a former military veteran that needed to earn some extra money so he could go back to Louisiana to take care of his children. He told me jokingly he was skip for hire and would do all the labour jobs that I didn't wanna be doing.

Published Monday, 24th Aug 05:58 BST

So do you know what house builders do for a living? I think i can help you with that. They are the people that make the roof that is over your head. They also make hotels, restaurants, churches, retirement homes. Anything that basically has roof that you can stand under. Now one of their specialties are extensions. Now what that means is that they can put more room in your house. Like extra rooms, bigger living room, kitchen, an extra floor, and more. I would love that to happen to my house. Now this could be a costly thing as well as the second thing they are good at. That would be flat refurbishment, now that is were they could clean up old things and/or used things and make them look brand new and good in your house. See, house builders have certain strategies and experience under their belts so not just any person can go build a house and expect it to look like Paris Hilton's mansion in Hollywood, CA. Also, house builders get very good money for doing what they do. Well, if I was a house builder I would expect also to get good revenue on what I do. They build 30 stories high, big, expensive hotels such as the one's in Las Vegas. Well they get paid for that too. They also get paid for the big HollywoodHillshouses, and the bigcasinos we all go spend all our money at. That's also how they get paid. We spend money at the hotels, and casinos. Then the owners have more money to open up another hotel and/or casino. So then they can pay the house builders that build them for it and employees that work there. Then their business gets bigger and betteras the chain gets bigger over time. That is also true with builders. Owners want to expand their company toanother location. You know where all their scraps go? They all go to the waste disposal services dump. How do I know that? Well maybe a little research helped me. They get these wastes/scraps and throw them away and maybe recycle them and make them into different things like scrap metal, plywood, doors, and also maybe windows. They all go into stores and get supplies to build the houses so they can do things like flat refurbishment, and extensions or just maybe plain house building and building of hotels and casinos.

I was 12 weeks pregnant and the doctor at my scan said "Congratulations. You are going to have triplets". I just couldn't believe it. My husband and I lived in a two bedroom house. I wondered how we would manage with three kids in a single bedroom. When I got home I announced my news to Luke my husband. " I went to my scan today and the doctor saw our three babies on the ultrasound". He looked at me and shouted "Wow". He didn't have any brothers or sisters because his mother had found it impossible to get pregnant a second time.

Tony and John decided to have a new home builder come out to the spot they wanted to build on. A new home has an advantage of looking like it belongs in the landscape if it is pre-planned well enough. Taking the time to get a landscape designer and the new home builder to go out and look at the grade of the property will help the owners get the plans that will get the look they want. The owners must find a new home builder willing to work with a designer as he builds the new home to ensure it will fit the grade of the property and the end result will be what the owner is looking for.

Published Sunday, 16th Aug 21:58 BST

Skiphire is becoming more popular these days, it is a pretty convenient waste collection method that each may adopt especially if one is planning on refurbishment projects for their homes and work place as well. This has become and is a growing industry in the market today especially in UK. The growth of refurbishment projects gave way to the increase for the demand for skiphire around. These somehow has help the skiphire industry to answer the demand in the increase for refurbishment projects to practice safe and responsible waste disposal practices in performing of their projects. These also inculcated the idea of waste collection and waste recycling as a result of their projects.

Said that professor to his students, "Humans are responsible for all the waste that we see all around. We should feel ashamed of ourselves when we advice others over how the waste litters all over the place. It is only our own responsibility to carry out the waste management tasks. I think, if it is we humans who do all this nonsense things of polluting the atmosphere and nature then it's our own responsibility to manage the waste. We haven't even spared the moon." "Then what can we do to protect Mother Nature and keep the pollution level under control? I am asking this becuase there is so much of waste in the surroundings of our house that we had to do a couple of house extensions." Said David. "But do you think that house extensions will really help?" "But the plan of house extensions was that of my dad's. He believed in that and on one else in our family." David replied. "You see", said the professor being greatly serious, "waste management is a big issue these days. There is so much of pollution that even the ozone layer is getting thinner by the day. Moreover fast food is adding to it. No one care where one throws the bags after using them. The bags are mostly made of plastic. But whatever may they be made of they surely add to the wastage and waste management continues to be a big issue." "I think what you are saying is absolutely right. In one sense, I am feeling very light at heart. The reason behind this is that, I am not the one who is involved in all this. I do my utmost to not pollute the atmosphere." Said another student. "And can I ask you how you do that? That will also set an example for all of the others to follow." Robert started, "I try to avoide using my bike or car if I have to go for a short distance away from my house for my work. That not only saves some fuel but also does not add that bit to the pollution levels. Secondly, I use paper very carefully. As we all know that paper is made from trees, and trees are cut down to make these huge amounts of papers which are mostly used for newspapers and for students. As far as possible, I use both the sides of the paper. By doing this I save a bit. And there are many more doing like this, imagine how healthy the earth would be live in. What would you suggest, Sir?" "I think, people should hire skip hire uk. That's one of the good companies around which can help you in managing your wastes. Thanks class. And see you tomorrow."

We live in an older neighbourhood, and as a result, the people around us are always remodelling their houses. I always liked watching the construction workers busily tearing down walls and adding new extensions to the houses around us. I was fascinated with the whole process; that is, until our next door neighbour decided to hire a custom builder to demolish his brick shed and build a new one.

Published Tuesday, 11th Aug 17:40 BST

I have done a lot of flat refurbishment and refurbishment projects for friends and family and really enjoyed doing it. I started getting into flat refurbishment and other refurbishment projects after watching a home make over show on TV, I think it’s amazing what you can do with a bit of mortar and bricks. Even though I have previous experience in doing other people’s flat refurbishment jobs and other refurbishment projects, when it came to my own home I really wanted to let some custom home builders do the job. I was kind of worried that if I were to do it myself, that I wouldn’t be as bothered to get the job finished by a certain date, than if I were doing it for someone else, so I contacted some local custom home builders. I drew up some plans of the new layout of the house and together with the custom home builders we discussed our plan of action, as some of the walls needed to come down etc. It was nice to see how an established company worked on a project, as I had only ever done the plans on my own or with the people I was doing it for. When they were rebuilding one of the walls, I asked them if they could put a square of mortar on to the floor in the garden, near the back and me and my partner wrote our names and the date into it. It looks really cool, and I did start to get a bit carried away. I wanted the builders to put a few more mortar squares down so I could draw things in them like hearts etc, but my partner told them not to under any circumstances. I think they thought I was a bit crazy too! I was so pleased when the work had been finished, and it was nice to sit back and relax in a house that was to my exact specification. I really like doing refurbishment jobs, and am thinking about buying properties, doing them up and selling them on however, my thoughts have been but on a back burner for the while, whilst we are having this credit crunch and not many people are buying properties. It’s a good job really, that I hadn’t already started buying and selling, otherwise I may have found myself back at mummy’s house!

Published Tuesday, 11th Aug 17:33 BST

I'm work as a supervisor in a big construction company where my work is to take refurbishment projects of clients. After getting some refurbishment projects from clients, I start working on the number of labourers I need to employ as they are all contractual labourers who get daily wages for the work they do. Once I have taken care of hiring the labourers, I need to look for skip hire which is needed to load of construction and demolition waste and put it in the truck. Refurbishment projects are simple to get but then hiring labourers is a tough job. Anyways, after getting the skip hire and taking care of all minute things which are important for any house refurbishment or flat refurbishment, it becomes critical for me to get along with the labourers and work with them so that I know how efficiently they are doing their work. House refurbishment sometimes can get good profit to us as it takes long time for the entire work to get completed. The scenario is completely different when it comes to flat refurbishment especially when it comes to smaller flats since the time span taken by flat refurbishment is shorter than that of house refurbishment. I am anyway not concerned about what kind of refurbishment projects we bag. What I need to take care of is that I employ the right kind of labourers who are highly skilled and have the experience in working under such projects. I have to take care of the slightest thing, be it skip hire, plaster of Paris or any other material needed to get our work done. At times, it becomes very tiring and sometime there comes a stage where labourers start quarrelling for petty issues which could be discussed and can get resolved easily. Such issues are one of the major challenges which I come across on most of the projects. In this situation, I need to play the role of an arbitrator who listens to both the parties and then eventually have to come out with a solution which is satisfactory to both the parties. It is a challenge for me because I need to ensure that I please both of them so that their quarrel does not affect the performance of the project. I usually learn a lot of things from my work which becomes helpful to me when a similar situation arises. I hope I continue doing my work with the same intensity and passion and bring glory to my name as well as the name of the company.
