I woke up to another boring day. I was getting sick of the same boring

I woke up to another boring day. I was getting sick of the same boring day my job brings. You see, I work as a manager for the town's refurbishment projects and Waste Recycling division.
"Hey boss, we got some interviews that need to be done," one guy says as I walk in.
"I'll take care of it. Meanwhile, you are in charged till I get back." Boy, did he look happy. "Enjoy it while you can!" I yelled as I left for the interview rooms on the second floor.
"Boss, there are five potential employers waiting for their interview." The secretary on the second floor informed me.
"I'm going, I'm going." I entered my personal interview room through the back door and prepared the papers. I picked up the phone and notified my secretary to send in the interviewees waiting in the lobby. A minute later, I heard a knock on the door. "Come in," I replied.
"Please sit down." The 20 something year old looked nervous but did as he was told. "This is going to be a quick and painless interview. I already know the basics about you so let's jump right into it." I paused, letting the him take a moment to digest it all in. "OK, so how many projects are you currently involved in?"
After a minute or two, he finally replied. "Well, I have several refurbishment projects. There is the flat refurbishment downtown, as well as the waste recycling project. Of course, I'm working on the flat refurbishment for myself as well." I nodded my head and marked some things on my notes.
"So why do you want this job, as the assistant manager of the refurbishment projects and Waste Recycling division?"
"I love it, everything this division does. People think it's a waste, but I know there is more to it than meets the eye." Right then, the phone rang.
"Excuse me," I picked up the phone. "What? I'm busy right now doing interviews."
"Sorry sir," It was the guy I had left in charge. "We ordered two rubbish skip hire bins and they haven't arrived yet. The flat refurbishment in the suburbs need it for dumping the excess trash. They need to clear room for the new supplies arriving this afternoon."
"You called me for that?" I was getting angry. Here was a perfectly able nominee for as my personal assistant and the man I put in charge could not take care of even the simplest things. "Check the old warehouse. There should be some very old bins that you could send over." With those words, I hung up the phone.
"Sorry about the interruption. Now, where were we?"
"You were asking me why I wanted this job."
"Yes, indeed. We're almost done here. Just one last question."
He waited in silence. "Do you have a girlfriend?"
Again, he waited a couple minutes before replying. "No sir."
"That will be all then. We will give you a call by next Monday on whether you got the job or not. Now, let me lead you out." And with those words, I opened the door for him, pointing towards the elevator before he could say another word.
