As all house builders would know, it can be a very tough and long process of a job. It can have many bumps in the road from the designing of the building to the build of the building. It never all goes plain sailing.

We specialize in refurbishment projects from a little shop needing refurbishment right up to stories and stories of high rise flats. It can be a very slow process sometimes but i think it soon pays off when i get my wage. I wouldn't even like to imagine how many bricks we must go through every week especially as sometimes we get it wrong and have to order more. We have our on site office which we call the extension building. Why extension I'm not quite sure as it's very small. All that is in there is a desk with a phone that someone spends all day at. If we have problems we report it there.

The extension Building goes everywhere with us which is probably why it is so small so it can easily be moved. On all our refurbishment projects that we do we have the extension building at the front of the building so it can easily be found by us and visitors that we have to the site.

I remember having to go there after the wrong bricks had been ordered which put us 2 days behind our schedule as we had to order the right bricks but they couldn't be delivered the same day as the company didn't have them in stock. I turned up at the extension building to report it and i don't think I've ever seen my manager so angry in my life. I thought he was going to sack me for something that wasn't even my fault but I'm very happy to say that he didn't.

I love the refurbishment projects that i work on. I love to be able to see a really run down building end up turning into a beautiful masterpiece. I norm,ally take photos of the finished results as i love to look back sometimes and see what i had to deal with and have all the memories of the job come back to me.
