As a child i loved being around my father and watching him work. He worked in house extensions and people would ring him up if they had a project for him to see if he could do or not. I loved the fact that he would let me go on the jobs with him and i would just skateboard around the street or sit in his van playing video games. My dads refurbishment projects i found amazing as it never looked good at all when he first started but would end up looking like a dream. He did all sorts of extensions whether it was just adding a downstairs toilet to somebodies house or building a couple new floors, he always knew what he was doing and it always looked amazing as he put his everything in to every job.

As i got bit older i got a job working for skiphire which was a company my dad had been using for years to basically come and clear all his rubbish. My dad and skiphire and got good friends and every time my dad ordered for a skip the company allowed me to go and drop it off so that i was able to go and see my dad and how he was getting on. I always wanted my dad to teach me how to do house refurbishments but he never really thought that it was something that he wanted me doing, i think he was just a little bit scared of me getting hurt and then he would feel a little guilty but i feel that there is danger in every job and always a chance thzt you could get hurt.

Skiphire was a good company to work for as they allowed me to go to all the jobs that my dad was working on, i was allowed to put in all the over time that i wanted and if they could see me struggling then they were always there to give a helping hand. When i took the job with skiphire i had never planned on it being a long lasting job, i had planned to just work there while i found another job but i actually quite like working there and i still feel in a way that i am working for my dad even though he doesn't own the company. I still pray for the day that my dad will teach me all he knows about refurbishment.
