I was doing a college course as a carpenter, I love making things out of wood, metal and I've even done a painting and decorating course. I suppose I have a gift for creativity. I enjoy putting things together and even fixing things. I've always been into waste recycling and tend not to mix up my glass bottles and paper, I like to do my bit for the environment it keeps my conscience clear at least, I suppose every little helps.

one year when I was doing a plumbing course a group of us visited a waste disposal unit a watched how the rubbish was sorted and recycled, it was quite informative really, there were all sorts of machines that did various jobs for example magnets removed all recyclable metals paper was blown into cylinders ready for cleaning and we even saw that most of the rubbish was ground and dried ot to be used as fertilizer.

one day I met a woman who needed lots of repairs doing to her home, it was a task she had set herself since her husband had died, while he was ill she had looked into skiphire costs and the duration times of skiphire, there was a lot of old stuff that was just in the way and she needed room for equipment that kept her husband alive. that was around the time we met at the skiphire office, I was doing a project on recycling and decided to find out for myself what was done with the rubbish, that's when we got talking, Rose was her name, she was a chatty little lady who seemed to have a lot of live in her, she had lived quite a full life and never regretted anything she did, she was full of determination for all that she set out to do and with the love and help from her husband nothing seemed impossible to achieve.

Rose one day asked me if I could help her with some repairs that had to be done since her husband had passed away, I was glad to assist after all I'd never met anyone of that age group who was so eager to learn. I was willing to help her for free considering we had become good friends and I needed the extra experience, it was good practice using all of my skills, there was so much rubbish we had to call a skiphire company but by then the prices for skiphire had gone up.
