DIY Heavan

I bought a house at a bargain price but it needed much work to make it into a lovely home. First of all I wanted to hire a skip so that I could do some waste disposal. The garden was a complete mess and I needed to clear it of rubbish. Two hundred pounds of mortar were delivered so that I could make the drive suitable for a waste lorry. The waste lorry took the house hold unwanted furniture that had belonged to an old lady. I found it difficult to hire a skip because I had run out of money. I needed to wait until my pay cheque went into the bank on 1st August. So I hadn't been able to hire a skip until then. It had cost over one hundred pounds to hire a skip that was big enough to get rid of all the garden rubble.

So when the skip was full and the waste lorry had driven away I had the blank canvas for my project. I moved on site with my brother-in law's caravan. It was tiny and I had tripped over countless times. My boyfriend liked to stay in it at the weekends.

First I got a plumber to put in a new bathroom and that took three days. Then he put in a new kitchen in two days. I had done some plaster work and painting all the walls in my house. Then my friend Tracey had taken me to get some furniture on the 31st August. I had spent the first few days of September making up the flat packed furniture. Then I had go go back to work because I was working as a primary school teacher.

When I go back from work my boyfriend Tim had made my house look very special with curtains, a vase of flowers and some lovely fragrances. He wanted us to try out my new bed. We had made love on it with great passion and excitement. He spent the night with me. I woke up the next day in his loving arms. I had gone off to work after a lovely kiss from him.

At the weekend Tim helped me create a garden with some colourful flowers and green plants. It was autumn so he did all he could to put in season things into my garden. My friend Dianne bought round a garden bench for me and her husband gave me their old shed. It was ideal for all my garden tools. The house had become my ideal home.
