DIY Heavan

I have been looking into house extensions and house refurbishment for some months now. I just think that our house is looking a bit shabby at the moment. It could do with a lick of paint and a few pieces of wall paper here and there. There is a lot of junk lying around the house too, its what happens when you decide to have kids! I have decided that I want to clear up the place though, maybe knock down a few walls if I feel like it, perhaps even hire a couple of builders to put in a new window, replace that one that Charles smashed with a football. In other words, I was going to have a full house clean up, and it was probably going to last the best part of a week. I was going to need some sort of waste disposal service to get rid of all the junk.

I am not sure if you know much about it, but these days skip hire prices are absolutely astronomical. Yes, well I got round to ordering the skip (have I mentioned the skip hire prices this year are really really bad?) The skip came along, dropped off on one rainy Sunday morning. We waved good bye to the skip people and handed them their money. But they wouldn't leave. No, they wanted more. The skip hire prices had just gone up overnight! They wanted twice the amount that they had originally asked for! I told you that the skip hire prices today are really bad!

Anyway, it was just about then that all of my money ran out. We had no money left to buy anything: no money to get a fresh can of paint, not even a new picture for the walls that we were stripping of their ruined, ancient coats. All we had was a rusty old skip to fill up with junk.

Well, we cleared up everything in the house, throwing away all sorts of random items that the family had accumulated over the years. At the bottom of one pile we found a tin of paint. It was bright green, but it was all that we had left. We painted the inside, but there was more left. The kids phoned up from university and they suggested that we paint all of the house green. We did it. Now for miles around people flock to look at our lime green house. It has become a bit of a land mark, I can tell you!
