DIY Heavan

Our family is a member of Red Cross. Most of my relatives are volunteer also in Red Cross units. I wanted to become one of the volunteer too that is why I had talked with my aunts and told her that I wanted to join them wherever they would go visiting and helping others in need. I was so happy that my aunt agreed with me and help me become a volunteer too. They were planning to visit the remote areas where there are lots of needy people and homeless ones.

I started packing my clothes and I woke up early because for me, this is my big day, going to the place where my help is needed. I was the youngest volunteer and we ride a big bus because there were so many volunteers who wanted to help. As we travel down the road, I could see the happy faces of volunteers including my aunt, I know how it feels to help other people. We also have brought rubbish skip hire because they said that the place was full of rubbish which needs to be loaded by a rubbish skip hire. When we arrived at the place, I could see house extensions with no colors. The place is so doom to look at and the children were just playing around with no slippers or shoes, just walking on their bare feet. My heart sank when I saw a baby lying on the ground without wearing anything. Volunteers started to unpack their things and distribute foods to the people. waste management is the big problem here in this place, there were lots of garbage's scattering around the area and so flies and mosquitoes are just freely flying around. The rubbish skip hire which we brought with us started to load those garbage's around. The driver of the rubbish skip hire makes sure that every garbage's are collected well. There are houses here that needs to be painted and renovated. flat refurbishment must be done here to make it as a living place for the homeless people here. I started to distribute foods for the children. I pitied them all, we also give them medicines for colds, cough and fever especially for the small children. My aunt talked with the mothers and teach them how to take care of their little children making sure that they dress them wherever they go.
