I was thinking about getting a house extension a few years back and st

I was thinking about getting a house extension a few years back and started looking into the requirements needed, like planning permission etc. It was the kitchen I wanted to extend, and refurb, so I called the skip hire out so I could gut the kitchen, so the builders could start the extension straight away. I was pleasantly surprised when I realised how cheap it was for skip hire, I thought it was going to be hundreds.
The following day some of my friends came round to help me gut the kitchen, I had a great time smashing up tiles and ripping out the really old cupboards that must have been there since the 60's. The skip came and after a few short hours it was full, the kitchen was gutted and I felt really satisfied.
A few days later the builders arrived to start the extension. I was running back and forth to the neighbours house to make them cups of tea whilst they worked. It was happening so quickly and I couldn't wait to start decorating it and getting my new cupboards and counters in there. The skip hire arrived and left a skip for the builders to fill with the bricks and other rubbish they removed. I did wonder what would happen with the waste collection, I wasn't sure if I would be left with all the bricks and plaster at the end of the extension, but seeing the skip hire outside was a good sight, even if it was plonked on my drive.
Finally a week or so later the kitchen was complete. I had running water, all my new cupboards and counters were fitted. My new oven and fridge were in and working and it all looked so shiny and new, I didn't have to ever want to use any of it. I couldn't wait to go out shopping and fill my new fridge, but first I had to decorate the kitchen. The counters were a dark marbled red so I wanted something that would look nice with the counters and not clash. I found some gorgeous paint at my local hardware store and some nice tile transfers.
It took me ages to get the dam tile transfers to stay on but eventually they did, and it was well worth all the stress because my kitchen looks beautiful now. I thought when you were extending your house, it would be a lot of hassle and stress, but it was great, no stress at all and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about a house extension.
